Women’s College World Series 2015: Michigan advances to Oklahoma City
By Jack Crosby
The Michigan Wolverines have punched their ticket to Oklahoma City and the Women’s College World Series with their win on Friday
We now know one of the teams that will be competing in the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City, as the Michigan Wolverines have officially punched their ticket to Oklahoma City.
Michigan needed a win on Friday in their Super Regional game against the Georgia Bulldogs, and this one was anything but easy for the No. 3 seed Michigan Wolverines. However, when all was said and done the ladies were able to come away with the 7-6 win and have secured their spot in the Oklahoma City field this year.
In the win over Georgia on Friday, the Wolverines got home runs from Kelsey Susalla and starting pitcher Haylie Wagner. Susalla also led the way in the RBI department with two in this one.
Michigan has been one of the more dangerous teams in the nation all year and they’re on a big run of momentum at the moment. The chances of these ladies walking away with the national title right now are very good, especially if they can keep this hot pace that they’re on.
But for now, the Michigan women can enjoy that they’re on their way to Oklahoma City.
