With its victory over Aston Villa on Saturday, Arsenal now owns the most FA Cup wins in history.

Saturday’s FA (Football Association) Cup Final ended in a route, as Arsenal pasted Aston Villa, 4-0. The victory makes it two consecutive FA Cups for The Gunners, as last year they defeated Hull City, 3-2, in a much more tightly contested match. Moreover, with the victory Arsenal now sits alone atop the record books with the most all-time FA Cup wins (12) and most title match appearances (19).

The FA Cup is the world’s longest running soccer tournament, with the inaugural event having taken place in 1872. As previously mentioned, Arsenal now holds the crown of most titles. Second on the list with 11 is Manchester United. The Reds last won the Cup in 2004. Third on the list is Tottenham Hotspur, who has eight titles, but none since 1991.

Following the top three is a trio of squads holding seven victories. Had Aston Villa walked away victorious, it would’ve moved into a tie for third with Tottenham. Chelsea and Liverpool are also tied for fourth.

Rounding out the top five are a couple of oldies in Newcastle United and the Blackburn Rovers. Despite the high total, neither team has won in the 21st century – 1955 for Newcastle and 1928 for the Rovers.

As far as bridesmaids are concerned, Everton has the most runners-up (8), while Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool and Newcastle all have seven second-place finishes apiece.

Below is a complete list of every team that has ever won the FA Cup, as well as their total amount of titles.
