Charlie Strong chills with tigers in his office (Photo)
The Texas Longhorns football coach, Charlie Strong hangs out in his office with a couple of tiger cubs.
Imagine walking in your football coaches office, already intimidated by him to begin with, only to find he has a couple tigers waiting to maul you at his command. This is quite the nightmare. Well, for the Texas Longhorns it is reality.
Charlie Strong, who currently resides as the head football coach of Texas University, has two tigers. He took an Instagram of them playing on the floor of his office while he nonchalantly sat back in his comfortable desk chair. Quite the impressive picture.
When Charlie Strong took over the program in 2014, he was expected to return the Long horns to their former glory where they were the fiercest team in the NCAA. Having actual tigers isn’t exactly what the Long horns quite had in mind when they hired him to raise the intensity a bit. But hey, it’s a start.
The Instagram eludes to the idea that these are his pets. I don’t know if I know of anything more crazy than a head football coach owning and training tigers. I wonder if he ever brings them to practice to give the kids a little extra motivation during a hot summer day.
I know if there was a tiger watching me I wouldn’t give up as easily if they were not. Something about a wild animal watching you get more tired and tired probably puts a little kick in each of the players steps.
