Reflexes and instinct are pretty important in the game of baseball, and that doesn’t just go for when you’re on the field playing. We learned this on Saturday thanks to Torii Hunter.

The Minnesota Twins are taking on the Chicago Cubs Saturday, and in the bottom of the fifth inning, Byron Buxton got off a foul ball that went right near the Twins’ dugout. However, no one was harmed by the ball in the dugout, because Torii Hunter was there to save the day for everyone.

Check out how easily he just snags the ball with his bare hand.

Now that’s some pretty impressive talent right there. Most people, myself included, would have ducked and ran for cover. But Hunter just pretty effortlessly grabs the ball out of nowhere, and to make the play even better, we get that signature Torii Hunter smile, as we was rightfully proud of what he had just accomplished.

Torii Hunter might be getting up there in age as his career begins to come to a close, but he showed here on Saturday that he still has some of those reflexes and instincts working at full power.
