Drafting order for the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft.

Unlike other the other major American sports, which have a seemingly infinite amount of rounds (NFL: 7, NHL: 7, MLB: 40), the NBA Draft only has two. It’s exciting, it’s fast-paced, and before the night is over each team and its fan base has a clearer idea of what their franchise’s immediate future will look like.

Also unlike its fellow sports, the NBA is not one to readily produce deep-round sleepers. Rosters are short, and superstars are gobbled up within the first 32 picks. The second round is more about finding a player who will neatly compliment the team, or perhaps a guy that can ride the pine for a year or two before coming into his own.

Some notable second-round selections in recent history include Patty Mills and Danny Green in 2009 – both were journeymen before eventually joining the Spurs for back-to-back Finals appearances. Chandler Parsons was taken with the 38th pick in the 2011 draft. And both DeAndre Jordan and Goran Dragic (now near-max deal guys) in 2008.

Two teams that figure to be major players in the 2015 NBA Draft are the Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers. The T-Wolves have the first pick in each round, and three overall. Meanwhile, the 76ers have a ridiculous six picks peppered throughout the draft – five in the second round along with No. 3 overall. Minnesota will pace the festivities with its selection of either Jahlil Okafor or Karl-Anthony Towns; Philly will likely spice things up by dangling its picks for trade bait.

Below is a look at the full drafting order for Round 2.
