You have to believe Bryce Harper was the top MVP candidate even before Giancarlo Stanton suffered his devastating wrist injury. However, it is worth noting that Harper hasn’t put together a full season since joining the majors four years ago.

Have you ever seen the progression of a baseball player quite like Harper? It’s possible, but the transition from possible star to solidified superstar in a three-year span is pretty impressive.
The 22-year-old slugger is just beginning his reign of terror in the big leagues, and that’s pretty scary for the rest of baseball. After a couple average seasons of hitting in the .270-range, knocking about 20 homers and 60 RBI and battling the injury bug, Bryce is having himself quite the 2015 campaign.
Harper is hitting an astounding .339 (sixth-best in baseball) with 24 home runs (third), and 58 RBI (fourth). It’s not often you see a guy basically in the top-five in every major offensive category, but Harper is having an out-of-this-world season for the Nationals.
The MVP race could end up being between two Nationals come October.
