The MLB Trade Deadline is fast approaching and these five teams could have a big say how the flurry of trade activity plays out.

Major League Baseball is heading into the MLB trade deadline in very unique territory and it is creating a very hazy look at just which teams may be buyers and which will be sellers as the season’s biggest transaction time approaches.

As of Friday, 21 of the 30 MLB teams are within five games of a playoff spot, whether that be in their respective divisions or chasing a wild card slot. With just a little more than a month left until the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline, that is an awful lot of culling to be done in order to accurately gauge the market.

While the game and the fans love that kind of parity, it makes a general manager’s job hell and makes predicting the outcome when the dust clears all the more difficult.

Still, rumors will swirl and moves will be made. There will be players in this market, both on the field and in the front office, and some teams will undoubtedly step up and shape the market and ultimately those willing to play the game.

So which five teams will be the biggest movers and shakers?
