Wimbledon day 9 live stream: Watch online
Everything you need to know and more about how to watch The Championships online.
Action ratchets up a notch at The Championships, Wimbledon on Wednesday, as the Gentlemen’s Quarterfinals will take place at the All England Tennis Club.
Former champions Roger Federer and Andy Murray begin their respective matches at 8:00 a.m. ET. Interestingly, Wimbledon’s greatest champion, Federer, will square off on Court 1 against Gilles Simon. It’s a rarity for Federer to get bumped off Centre Court, but such is the case when he’s heads-up against Murray in the same time slot. Murray, the last remaining Brit in the Major, gets front and Centre against Vasek Pospisil.
The Gentlemen’s second set of matches, will feature the finalists from last month’s French Open. Stan Wawrinka looks to continue his impressive late bloom against Richard Gasquet, in hopes of a third Major crown (he already owns an Australian Open and this year’s French). On Centre Court, defending champion Novak Djokovic will see action for a third straight day and attempt to make the semifinals against Marin Cilic. The Djoker was pushed to the brink of defeat against Kevin Anderson, with the fifth set of their match being played on Tuesday, so it’ll be interesting to gauge Djokovic’s fatigue factor.
Wednesday will also feature the quarters of Ladies’ Doubles and the third round of Mixed Doubles.
