The Dallas Mavericks lost out on DeAndre Jordan and are now scrambling for solutions — one of which seems to include acquiring Zaza Pachulia from the Bucks.

When the Dallas Mavericks lost out on DeAndre Jordan, it was apparent that they were going to enter a period where every move they made was going to be considered a panic move. They were linked to Enes Kanter almost immediately, maxed out Wes Matthews and have been mentioned with JaVale McGee, Josh Smith and Amare Stoudemire.

We can add trading for Milwaukee Bucks center Zaza Pachulia to the mix as well.

According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, the Mavericks are closing in on acquiring center Zaza Pachulia from the Milwaukee Bucks.

Given how hard Mark Cuban went on on Chris Broussard last night, people are going to be hard pressed to call him names over this move — but it’s a panic move at best. Pachulia isn’t a bad player, he’s just not DeAndre Jordan. That’s going to be the case for any and all players the Mavericks go after to replace the loss of Jordan.

Dallas is largely making this move to fill up cap space, but Pachulia is going to be someone the Mavericks use to offset the loss of Jordan this summer. He’s not an All-Star, but the Mavericks at least have something to show for the last 24 hours of work in Dallas.
