The Florida State Seminoles have suspended running back Dalvin Cook after he was arrested in an assault and battery case this week.
Florida State is not having a good week, as just when you think they couldn’t get more egg on their face, they slam the plate up against themselves.
Quarterback DeAndre Johnson was booted from the team after he was arrested for domestic abuse at a local bar, and now five-star recruit Dalvin Cook has added his name to the list of players in boiling hot water. On Friday, the running back was arrested after he was named in an assault and battery case involving a female victim.
Cook was arrested on Friday on allegations that he punched a 21-year old woman in the face several times when she refused his advances.
After news broke that five-star recruit Dalvin Cook had been arrested on assault and battery charges, FSU was quick to suspend him indefinitely.

This is the second major incident involving a Florida State player and an incident of violence towards a woman in less than a week. DeAndre Johnson was kicked off the team after footage of him savagely beating a woman at a bar surfaced after he was arrested for the incident.
Cook’s arrest is another black mark for the Seminoles, who haven’t really defined what an upstanding university. Jameis Winston was accused of rape, got busted stealing crab legs and was suspended for a game after shouting vulgar phrases on campus. Winston is in the NFL now, but the problems persist in Tallahassee as Johnson and Cook getting into trouble for beating women is the worst look possible for a university in what we though as a civilized age of humanity.
