Football season is around the corner, so let’s start getting pumped with this TAMU hype video.
This part of the year is what Steve Spurrier likes to call “Talking Season.” It’s the time when everyone is bumping gums, spitting a little smack and ruffling feathers. And you know what pairs perfectly with Talking Season: Hype Video Season. That glorious part of the year when any and every team has some form of pump-up vid flying onto the web.

I love Hype Video Season. It’s a time of eternal optimism, where every team has a chance to take the title. Beyond that, there’s never not a good hype video. They’re like pizza – even the worst are better than half the other crap out there.
With that said, check out this awesome pump-up for the Texas A&M Aggies. (Prepare for goosebumps when it shows the Kyle Field renovation)
Weirdly, Texas A&M might be flying a bit under the radar heading into this season (strange to say about a squad whose coach recruits with a Swagcopter). But with Arkansas a popular dark horse, Alabama and Auburn favorites to win the West, and Ole Miss and Mississippi State expected to not lose much ground after breakout 2014 campaigns, the Aggies have been overlooked some.
Offense is never, and will never be, a problem for any Kevin Sumlin-led squad. After briefly dabbling with (and eventually moving away from) the Kenny Trill Era last year, it’s now Kyle Allen’s time to shine. If the former No. 1 quarterback recruit can fulfill all his potential, then there could likely be another Heisman Trophy winner roaming College Station in the not-too-distant future.
On the defensive side, in comes John Chavis to shore up what was effectively a sieve last year. Chief left his post as LSU defensive coordinator acrimoniously, and has been nothing less than a sideshow this offseason. Though it likely won’t have much of a bearing on his new gig. With the likes of sack-master Myles Garrett anchoring the line, he has some good pieces to work around.
Hope springs eternal in College Station, and for good reason.
