LSU head coach Les Miles revealed the obvious on Monday, that he was indeed interested in Braxton Miller

Braxton Miller recently announced that he would be returning to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes for his final season of eligibility. However, before that announcement was made, many still thought there was a possibility the two-time Big Ten Player of the Year could head off to play elsewhere, given the quarterback situation in Columbus.
One of the schools that people believed had a chance at landing the services of Miller was LSU, and on Monday not only did Les Miles address the matter, but he wasn’t shy in saying what the real intentions were.
In visiting ESPN this week to get ready for the 2015 college football season, Miles revealed that he was absolutely interested in bringing Miller in to help the Tigers’ cause in the SEC.
"Les Miles asked if he wanted grad transfer QB: “I would have loved to been in running for the Ohio State QB (Miller) if he came out” — Brett McMurphy (@McMurphyESPN) July 20, 2015"
Hey, credit here to Coach Miles for bluntly addressing the situation here. In reality, though, everyone had an idea that LSU was interested in bringing in the versatile threat.
If there has been one issue with LSU in recent years, it’s the fact that they just can’t seem to find the answer under center on offense. They’ve had some amazing skilled position players, but they really haven’t been able to hit the nail on the head when it comes to the leader of the offense. Someone the stature of Miller would have definitely helped LSU take the next step in the SEC.
In the end, though, it ultimately never came to fruition and now Miles has yet another quarterback qualm to figure out as the Tigers fight for another SEC crown.
