New Florida State quarterback Everett Golson did not take too kindly to some recent comments from Paul Finebaum
It’s really no well-kept secret that SEC radio host Paul Finebaum is not the biggest fan of the Florida State Seminoles. Recently he reminded us all of this by saying that Florida State was pretty overrated with their No. 8 ranking in the Coaches Poll that was just released. Well, these comments didn’t sit too well with one of the newest members of the Seminoles program.
When these comments were made, new Florida State quarterback Everett Golson didn’t really appreciate them all that much and he was quick to call out the controversial radio personality.
The fire been lit, but thanks @paulfinebaum for adding fuel to it! #IHearTheWhispers #MJinspired #NoleNation

He even went so far as to let his teammates know they were being hated on.

Well, if anything, Golson is certainly making himself quite the favorite among the folks in Tallahassee. When you attack back at Paul Finebaum, you tend to become loved even more so in the eyes of the Florida State fans.
So now, if anything, Finebaum put even more of a chip on the shoulder of Golson as he enters his first and only year with Florida State. After basically losing his job at Notre Dame to Malik Zaire, he decided to use up his final year of eligibility with Florida State. He has a pretty tall order in being the one that will likely replace Jameis Winston.
But, he has enough fuel on that fire now, that’s for sure.
