Twins’ Mike Pelfrey mimics Brian Dozier during warm-ups (Video)
By Jack Crosby
Mike Pelfrey kept himself entertained on Wednesday by following around Brian Dozier and seeing what he goes through
Mike Pelfrey was not the starting pitcher for the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. Therefore, Mike Pelfrey was probably really, really bored. That’ll happen to a starter when he’s not on the mound, and with the Major League Baseball season being so long, you have to find ways to amuse yourself sometimes.
Well, Pelfrey may have found the best solution to that problem. Best for our entertainment, anyway.
Prior to the game getting underway on Wednesday, Pelfrey literally dressed up as teammate Brian Dozier and he mimicked him during his warm-ups. Literally, he was wearing his jersey and following him around like a little kid might do his father on the baseball field and it was pretty hilarious.
Now that’s definitely one creative way to pass the time when you’re not pitching and all you can do is sit and watch. We’re at the beginning of August here, so Pelfrey has to be getting real bored on the days when he’s not tossing from the hill to start the game. Plus, you have to think that Dozier was a little entertained by it as well.
