A look at the action from the amazing UEFA Super Cup match that took place on Tuesday between Barcelona and Sevilla

When it comes to a UEFA Super Cup Final match, we literally could have have gotten anything more exciting than we did on Tuesday. In the battle that sees the UEFA Champions League Champions take on the UEFA Europa League Champions, Barcelona and Sevilla really did give us all we could have asked for.

After what was really an incredible match, it was Barcelona that came away with the 5-4 win in Extra Time to take the 2015 UEFA Super Cup.

Early on it looked as if Sevilla was ready to shock a lot of people, taking a 1-0 lead off this goal from Ever Banega, just three minutes into the match.

After that, though, it appeared as if Barcelona was ready to put the rout on, as Lionel Messi scored two quick goals within minutes of one another.

With the first half coming to a close, Barcelona captured a commanding 3-1 lead with this goal from Rafinha.

When the second half got underway, things didn’t look anymore promising for Sevilla, as Luis Suarez gave Barcelona and 4-1 lead.

At this point, most people were writing Sevilla off for dead. Well, they showed us in the second half that they were anything but dead. Goals from Reyes, Kevin Gameiro and Yevhen Konoplyanka had everyone’s jaw dropping as they came all the way back to tie the game up at four.

The match would remain tied at four, right up until Full Time was in the books. From there it was off to extra time, and with the extra time coming to a close, it looked as if Messi was going to be able to put this one away as he got another chance at a free kick.

Well, Messi didn’t hit the free kick, but that was OK because Pedro was there to give Barca the 5-4 lead.

What an incredible event that was, and credit needs to go to both sides.
