The Kansas City Chiefs welcomed Eric Berry back to the NFL by naming him captain.
One of the best and most underappreciated stories of the NFL offseason is Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry returning from a brush with cancer.
And to mark the occasion for as special as it is, the Chiefs named Berry a captain. A small gesture, but a big gesture at the same time. Berry’s certainly a leader on that team and an inspiration, so being officially a captain only seems to make sense.

To really get you in the feels, Berry had a special moment with his mother beforehand.
