The Eagles and Colts are wrapping up the first week of the preseason this afternoon in a game that is all about Tim Tebow.
It has been over a year since we last were able to freak out about Tim Tebow playing in an NFL game, but our wait is over. The prayers of fans have been answered and Tebow is back in action with the Philadelphia Eagles — at least for now. That’s the main storyline heading into the final preseason game of the week, as the Eagles vs. Colts game is going to be all about the nicest quarterback in the NFL that everyone loves to hate.
There’s more going on than just that though. From the return of Andrew Luck and the freshly re-signed T.Y. Hilton to the questions that the Eagles need to answer after yet another offseason of upheaval on the roster. Gone are Shady McCoy, Brandon Boykin and others but arrived has Byron Maxwell, DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews.
We won’t see any of the Chip Kelly gimmicks he’s saving for the regular season, nor will we see Sam Bradford, but the Eagles are the most fascinating team to watch in the NFL if for no other reason than they always teeter on the brink between being brilliant and being a dumpster fire.
It’s entertainment of the highest value.
