What more could you want from a season opener if you’re a fan? I mean a free concert wouldn’t hurt.
Check.
Virginia Tech has announced that Brad Paisley will perform a free show on the Sunday prior to the game, thus turning what was a Labor Day’s showcase into, basically, a mini weekend festival.
"“Hokie Nation supports us with tremendous passion and dedication,” said Tech Director of Athletics, Whit Babcock. “The opportunity to bring a Grammy award-winning artist like Brad Paisley to the Virginia Tech campus is great way to thank our great fans and kick off an amazing weekend.”"
Come for the concert; stay for the football. Come for the football; come earlier for the concert. Whatever the case, the GRAMMY award winning artist is launching his “Country Nation College Tour” in the most appropriate venue at the perfect time. This is how you kick off a season.
