NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.
I will provide you with the statistics that you need to pick the best lineup off of past stats. The pitcher stats are against players currently on the opposing team only, not a playerās past statistics against former players on the team. Hitters are only listed if they have counting stats (HR, RBI) against the opposing pitcher.

Next: First Up: The Pitchers
Jul 26, 2015; Minneapolis, MN, USA; New York Yankees starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (30) leaves the game in the ninth inning against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. The Yankees won 7-2. Mandatory Credit: Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports
Pitcher:
Tyson Ross, Padres ($9,200): The Braves are 11 for 39 (.282) with a homer and six RBI with three walks to nine strikeouts.
Julio Teheran, Braves ($8,500): The Padres are 15 for 69 (.217) with three homers, eight RBI, five walks, and 14 strikeouts.
Alex Wood, Dodgers ($8,000): Only four Aās players have faced Wood in their career. They are a combined 3 for 9 with no counting stats.
Ervin Santana, Twins ($7,500): The Yankees are 45 for 196 (.230) lifetime off of Santana with eight homers, 28 RBI, 18 walks, and 39 strikeouts.
Mike Montgomery, Mariners ($7,500): The current Rangers are 5 for 17 against Montgomery with three RBI, four walks, and four strikeouts.
Derek Holland, Rangers ($7,500): The Mariners are 40 for 148 (.270) with nine homers, 21 RBI, 12 walks, and 33 strikeouts off of Holland. Holland has also been on the DL since April 10. This is his first start back.
Nathan Eovaldi, Yankees ($7,400): The Twins are 9 for 29 (.231) with one RBI, one walk, and six strikeouts against Eovaldi.
Jesse Chavez, Athletics ($7,300): The Dodgers are 11 for 46 (.239) with a homer, eight RBI, four walks, and 11 strikeouts against Chavez. However, most of those stats are taken up by Howie Kendrick, who is 2 for 17 lifetime against Chavez.
Tom Koehler, Marlins ($6,800): The Brewers are 9 for 29 (.310) with two RBI, a walk, and five strikeouts against Koehler.
Wily Peralta, Brewers ($6,700): The Marlins are 17 for 76 (.224) with two homers, three RBI, seven walks, and 12 strikeouts against Peralta. Some of that is padded by the injured Giancarlo Stanton, who is 0 for 10 lifetime against Peralta, but he has walked five times.
My Pick: Eovaldi. Honorable mention goes to Peralta. Teheran could be worth it, but I feel that these two will come close to his production at a much lower price.
Next: Next: The Corner Infielders
Aug 18, 2015; Bronx, NY, USA; New York Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez (13) heads home on his grand slam home run during the seventh inning against the Minnesota Twins at Yankee Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports
First Base:
Prince Fielder, Rangers ($3,500): Went 1 for 2 with a RBI double in his game against Montgomery.
Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers ($3,500): A-Gon is 1 for 4 with two walks and a RBI against Chavez.
Mark Teixeira, Yankees ($3,300): Even if he is back in the lineup, donāt play him. He is just 6 for 38 (.158) with five walks, a homer, and seven RBI against Santana. He is a much better option in DraftKings.
Nick Swisher, Braves ($2,200): Swish is 2 for 7 with a double, a homer, and three RBI off of Tyson Ross.
My Pick: Swisher
Third Base:
Alex Rodriguez, Yankees ($3,600): A-Rod is 12 for 36 with two walks, four homers, and 11 RBI against Santana.
Kyle Seager, Mariners ($3,600): Seager is 6 for 24 against Holland with four walks, a homer, and two RBI.
Danny Valencia, Athletics ($3,300): Valencia is 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles against Alex Wood.
Yangervis Solarte, Padres ($3,200): Solarte has only faced Teheran four times, but he has come away with three singles and a RBI.
Derek Dietrich, Marlins ($2,700): Dietrich is 2 for 7 with a walk, a homer, and two RBI off of Peralta.
Martin Prado, Marlins ($2,200): Prado is 5 for 14 (.357) against Peralta, but has yet to drive in a run off of him.
My Pick: Rodriguez
Next: Next: The Middle!
Aug 12, 2015; Seattle, WA, USA; Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano (22) hits an RBI-single against the Baltimore Orioles during the third inning at Safeco Field. Mandatory Credit: Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports
Catcher:
Brian McCann, Yankees ($3,700): McCann will likely rest this afternoon considering his 1 for 9 mark against Ervin Santana. He does have a RBI though.
Derek Norris, Padres ($3,200): Norris is 1 for 2 with a walk and a RBI against Teheran.
Chris Gimenez, Rangers ($2,500): Gimenez has a walk and a RBI double in two trips to the plate against Montgomery.
Mike Zunino, Mariners ($2,200): Zunino is 1 for three with a RBI single against Holland.
My Pick: Gimenez. If he doesnāt play, then Zunino.
Second Base:
Robinson Cano, Mariners ($3,900): Cano is 10 for 28 (.357) lifetime against Holland with a walk, two doubles, a triple, a home run, and five RBI.
Brian Dozier, Twins ($3,600): Dozier has two singles and a walk in four at bats against Eovaldi, but has yet to drive in a run.
Enrique Hernandez, Dodgers ($2,400): Hernandez is 2 for 3 with a walk against Chavez, but hasnāt driven in a run either. That said, he comes much cheaper than Dozier!
Scooter Gennett, Brewers ($2,200): Gennett is 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBI against Koehler. That is the only two runs the Brewers have tallied against him.
My Pick: Cano
Shortstop:
Adeiny Hechavarria, Marlins ($2,600): He is 3 for 10 against Peralta, and pickings are slim at SS.
Andrelton Simmons, Braves ($2,300): Simmons has a RBI single in two at bats against Ross.
Jean Segura, Brewers ($2,200): Segura is 3 for 5 with a walk lifetime against Koehler.
My Pick: Segura
Next: Next: The Outfield
Aug 11, 2015; Seattle, WA, USA; Seattle Mariners designated hitter Mark Trumbo (35) hits a three-run home run against the Baltimore Orioles during the first inning at Safeco Field. Mandatory Credit: Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports
Outfield:
Justin Upton, Padres (4,000): Upton has only faced his former teammate twice, but his one hit is a solo home run.
Carlos Beltran, Yankees ($3,500): Beltran has only faced Ervin Santana four times, but he has a single and a two run homer off of him.
Jacoby Ellsbury, Yankees ($3,200): Ellsbury is 7 for 24 (.292) with a homer and two RBI against Santana.
Franklin Gutierrez, Mariners ($3,200): Gutierrez is 5 for 17 (.294) with a walk and a solo homer against Holland.
Brett Gardner, Yankees ($3,000): Gardner is 5 for 18 with two doubles and two walks against Santana. He could be worth playing simply because he will be on base.
Will Venable, Padres (3,000): Venable is 3 for 11 with a homer and three RBI against Teheran.
Yasiel Puig, Dodgers (2,800): Puig only has two at bats against Chavez, but the one hit was a two run home run.
Austin Jackson, Mariners ($2,700): Jackson is only 2 for 11 against Holland, but he does have a solo homer against him.
Marcell Ozuna, Marlins ($2,300): Ozuna is only 2 for 12 against Peralta, but he did manage to hit a solo shot off of him.
Mark Trumbo, Mariners ($2,200): Trumbo is 11 for 38 (.289) with two walks, two doubles, four homers, and nine RBI lifetime against Derek Holland. Talk about cheap production!
My Picks: Upton, Beltran, Trumbo
