LSU is always one of the most polarizing teams in college football, especially when it comes to having players and coaches on the microphone talking to the media. They’ve now taken it a step further by putting a microphone in the hands of their resident Cajun kicker and Australian punter.
At the Tigers’ media day, kicker Colby Delahoussaye took the microphone and started going to town. Punter Jamie Keehn got in on the fun, too, and the results were quite possibly one of the greatest moments in the history of sports:
"When a Cajun and an Aussie Take the MicKicker Colby Delahoussaye and punter Jamie Keehn took the mic from Emily Dixon during LSU Media Day and hilarity ensued. Watch!Posted by LSU Football on Tuesday, August 18, 2015"
I think anyone who watches that wishes they, too, had the rice and gravy Delahoussaye is thinking about before a kick.
These special teams guys should be your favorite college football players now. Even if LSU is an SEC rival of yours: these guys are entirely too entertaining to not hold a place in a sports fan’s heart. Anyone who asks Leonard Fournette about alligators and ex-girlfriends at media day deserves your admiration.
If Delahoussaye misses a kick and Keehn has a punt under 70 yards this season, I’ll be shocked. The chances of them being the greatest ever at their respective positions is an easy 100 percent. Delahoussaye and Keehn for Co-Heisman.
