Robert Griffin III was just absolutely mauled on this play by the Lions’ defensive line, which is not a good sign

It pretty much goes without saying that heading into the 2015 NFL season, a lot of eyes are on one Robert Griffin III. Everyone is wondering whether or not this is the season that the Redskins QB can return to his rookie season form that he enjoyed in 2012.

Well, if the Redskins offensive line plays like they did on one play Thursday against the Detroit Lions, then that’s going to be mighty hard to pull off.

The Redskins are taking on the Lions Thursday night, and on one play, the Washington offensive line did very little to help their star quarterback, which of course meant he got eaten alive.

Yeah, you see, it’s common knowledge in the game of football that if the quarterback isn’t protected, then the success will probably be minimal. This right here was about as bad as you can get. You really can’t fault Griffin for this here, the poor man barely had time to breathe back there.

That is probably something that the Redskins should get fixed right away, but that’s why we play the preseason games.
