Former Baylor defensive end Sam Ukwuachu was sentenced on Friday for sexual assault and it was quite lenient
The saga involving the Baylor Bears and former defensive end Sam Ukwuachu took yet another turn on Friday, and it went in a direction that has a lot of people scratching their heads. Just one day after he was found guilty of sexual assault, Ukwuachu was sentenced for his crime by a judge, and needless to say, he got off rather easy.
The judge sentenced Ukwuachu to felony probation for 10 years, placed him in the county jail for 180 days and 400 hours of community service

Actually, to say that he got off easy might be an understatement. As a matter of fact, this young man should thank his lucky stars that he’s getting only six months in prison for the ungodly crime of sexual assault.
The case stems from an incident in 2013 where Ukwuachu sexually assaulted a member of the Baylor women’s soccer team. Of course, since these details have come to light, we’ve learned a lot more about this young man, including this not being the first time that he’s been involved with assaulting a woman. When he was at Boise State, he was accused of abusing his girlfriend at the time right before he decided to transfer.
Another story that has come from all of this is Baylor head coach Art Briles stating that he had no knowledge of Ukwuachu being involved in a domestic violence case while at Boise State. He even went so far as to say that he contacted Chris Petersen and it was never brought up, although Petersen on Friday said that he did let Briles in on what had happened while he was at Boise State.
This story has been crazy and disgusting from the get-go, and things went off the rails a little bit again on Friday.
