College Football rankings: 2015 preseason AP Poll released; Ohio State sits on top

The first college football AP Poll has been released for 2015 and to the surprise of no one, Ohio State is No. 1

As we sit right now, the 2015 college football season is officially less than two weeks away. Very shortly we will be on the road to the national championship, but first, we have to take a look at the AP Poll.

Yes, after a long off-season wait, it is finally that time where we get to take a look at the first AP Poll of the year. As we all know, whatever the case may be and no matter where they come from, when it comes to college football, everything is about the rankings. While some may think the preseason rankings mean very little, there’s no doubt that it can help in the long run, especially if you’re ranked higher and lose early.

Of course, the No. 1 team in the country is no surprise. The defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes are on top of the college football world in the AP Poll to start the season. With the plethora of talent that they have returning on both sides of the ball, many are expecting the Buckeyes to not only make it back into the College Football Playoff, but repeat as the national champions.

But, what about the rest of the rankings? Well, the first AP Poll of the season has been released, so here’s a look at how we’re going into this 2015 campaign.
