Steve Sarkisian gives drunken speech at USC kickoff event (Video)
By Jack Crosby
Here is partial video of USC head coach Steve Sarkisian going on his drunken rant that has him in some hot water
Aside from the first College Football AP Poll being released on Sunday, the big news that we all woke up to was that of Steve Sarkisian giving a drunken speech during a USC kickoff event on Saturday night. At first it was a report from people in attendance, but after apologies from both Sarkisian and USC Athletic Director Pat Haden, we found out that it was indeed true.
Just a short time ago, ESPN obtained partial video of the incident, which you can view below.
Just judging from the video there, you can certainly tell that Sarkisian was inebriated and should not have been up there with a microphone in front of him. It’s quite alright for college coaches to take some jabs at rivals, but definitely not when they’re in that frame of mind. Overall, it was not a good idea to have Sark up there talking in that state.
But, again, since this incident came to light everyone has made their apologies and hopefully something like this never takes place again. As the head coach of the University of Southern California, something of this nature just simply can’t take place.
