USC coach Steve Sarkisian apologizes for his ‘behavior’
By Josh Hill
USC Trojans head coach Steve Sarkisian has apologized for his drunken actions at a booster party this weekend.
The college football season is almost upon us, and that means a time of celebration for those who have waited all spring and summer long for football to return. Some people tend to get a little more excited than others, and USC Trojans head coach Steve Sarkisian is one of those people.
While it wasn’t a huge deal at the time, it appears that Sarkisian may or may not have made a dope of himself at a USC booster party this weekend. What confirmed this was an official apology that the school released — thus kicking up dust on a story that not many people really knew about.
Sarkisian released an apology on Sunday for how he acted at a booster party on Saturday night.
"“I sincerely apologize to my players and staff and to our fans for my behavior and my inappropriate language at our kickoff event Saturday night. I have a responsibility to all of them and I let them down. Pat Haden talked to me after the event about my actions and I assured him this will not happen again.”"
According to reports and stories from people who were at the party, Sarkisian was drunk and dropping f-bombs all over the place while talking trash about fellow Pac-12 schools.
He wouldn’t be the first USC coach to be over-the-top, but Sarkisian is trying to make sure this story stays nothing more than a tale so much as an indictment on the program. The NCAA will look everywhere when it comes to dropping sanctions and cleaning up for itself as far as violations are concerned, and Sarkisian trotting around drunkly telling dildo jokes is one way to get the NCAA to zero in on your program.
