New Florida head coach Jim McElwain is urging the students to get out there and support the football team
In less than two weeks now, the Florida Gators will take the field for the first time in 2015. With this taking place, it also marks the first time the team will take the field under the direction of new head coach Jim McElwain. After the Will Muschamp era was put to rest last season, Florida went out and took McElwain from Colorado State, a move that has a lot of buzz surrounding the program once again.
Still, even with that buzz around the program once again, there are a lot of fans that are discouraged over the way the last few years have played out. The students especially might be discouraged, which could be bad news for your home attendance at the games.
Well, McElwain is doing his best to tackle that issue. Recently he took the time out to introduce himself to the Florida student body and urge them to get out to The Swamp and support the Gators.

This was a nice gesture by McElwain and maybe some of the students will heed the message here.
But, this is college football and the fact of the matter is that to really get The Swamp packed again, the wins are going to have to come.
