Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Noah Brown suffered a severe leg injury in practice on Wednesday

The Ohio State Buckeyes will have to go the entirety of their season without one of their most promising offensive threats, as wide receiver Noah Brown suffered a sever leg injury at practice. This report in from Cleveland.com.

On Wednesday, it appeared that something just wasn’t right with the Buckeyes’ program and their practice session, as practice was abruptly canceled and the media was informed that they would not be getting their usual availability. From there, it was very much apparent that some sort of devastating injury occurred.

This is a huge blow for the Buckeyes simply for the fact that Brown was indeed their most promising prospects at the wide receiver position. Dating back to the spring practices, you heard nothing but positive feedback from the coaching staff, and that included Urban Meyer.

“Noah Brown is kind of solidified,” Meyer said back in April. “If he just takes care of a little more business in classroom I was gonna announce him as one of the starting three or four.”

With that kind of praise from maybe the best college football coach in the game, you know that something special was in the cards for this young man.

Brown had played in 13 games last season for Ohio State and was getting ready to enter his sophomore season of eligibility. He totaled just one catch for nine yards, but again, he had improved by leaps and bounds according to all the reports.
