Vikings’ Cordarrelle Patterson returns kickoff 107 yards for TD (Video)

Cordarrelle Patterson lit the Cowboys on fire Saturday night, blazing his way to this 107-yard kickoff return
For the past few seasons, Cordarrelle Patterson has been talked about as one of the best up-and-coming special teams players in all of the NFL. On Saturday night as the Minnesota Vikings take on the Dallas Cowboys, we were all once again reminded just why.
Just as the second quarter got underway, with the Vikings down 7-3 to the Cowboys, Patterson went back for the kickoff following a Dallas score. Well, he took the ball deep on the kick, and instead of taking the knee, he decided that he’d just punch the Cowboys back himself.
Patterson took the ball out of the end zone and he returned 107 yards to the house to give his team the lead back.
There are very few return men in the league that you would trust to take the ball out from that deep, but Patterson is certainly one of them. For most guys that play ends up badly, but again, Patterson is quickly cementing himself as one of the best return men in the game today.
To think that, because he’s so young, he can only get better from here is a pretty scary thought.
