You know, there are a lot of people looking forward to next weekend because that’s when they see the college football season getting kicked off. Well, in actuality, the college football season begins on this Saturday, and to get it all started off, we get a pretty nice match up between the North Dakota State Bison and Montana Grizzlies.
Yes, to get the college football season all started up, we’re getting the treat of seeing North Dakota State, an FCS team that has been making some noise on the national scene as of late. Dating back to their upset on the road of Kansas State a few years ago, this program has caught the attention of everyone, and on Saturday, they’ll begin their pursuit of another national title at that level.
As for Montana, this opener will feature the coaching debut of Bob Stitt with the program, a man with one of the more colorful personalities in all of college football. After 15 years as the head coach of Colorado Mines, Stitt will continue to climb the coaching ranks as he gets his Montana tenure started up.
