Penn State Football head coach James Franklin found himself on the wrong side of a bet recently and he paid for it

Right now, the Red Land Little League team is the most popular group of athletes in the state of Pennsylvania. When you earn yourself a shot at the Little League World Series title, that will generally tend to be the case. With the college football season coming up, their popularity right now is even trumping the Penn State Nittany Lions, who are getting ready to begin the college football season later this week.

Well, this past week the two worlds collided in Pennsylvania, although maybe James Franklin wishes that would not have happened.

Franklin made a bet with Pennsylvania second baseman Braden Kolmansberger, who just happens to be pretty good at kicking a ball. The Nittany Lions coach made a bet with young Braden that if he hit a 30-yard field goal, then he would do 30 pushups.

You can probably guess what happened here. Yeah, he made it.

Hopefully that’ll teach Coach Franklin not to make bets he’s not so sure he can win.
