Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino called an absolutely terrible timeout and of course everyone is wondering why
Whether you love him or hate him, you can’t argue that Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino is one hell of a football coach, especially when it comes to offense. However, if there’s one thing that we’ve learned about him through the years, it’s that he’s not exactly the best when it comes to in-game decision making. On Saturday, that struck again.
Louisville was behind pretty big in their opener in Atlanta against Auburn. But, the Cardinals were able to fight their way out and late in the fourth quarter, they had a chance to maybe get back into it if they could get the ball back. With Auburn trying to drive to the win, a penalty was called where there would be no runoff of the clock.
Yet, Petrino took a timeout anyway and cost him team a chance at the potential tie. With such a inexcusable act taking place, the internet had their way with the embattled coach.

Always nice to watch Bobby Petrino lose a football game in a way that looks like he knows nothing about football.
