After the action on Saturday, here’s how the Top 25 college football rankings may look when they’re released on Tuesday
We waited a long time, but on Saturday we were treated to the first Saturday of college football games for the 2015 season. Of course, as is generally the case, the action from Saturday could have some serious implications on the college football rankings.
Right off the bat to start the Saturday in Week 1, the Stanford Cardinal were downed pretty easily by the Northwestern Wildcats. There were many experts picking Stanford to potentially make the College Football Playoff, but now those hopes are in some serious jeopardy. Coming in at No. 21 for the day, they might be finding their way out of the Top 25.
As for a team at the top of the rankings that will not be going anywhere, the No. 3 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide looked mighty impressive with their win over No. 20 Wisconsin. Although, now the question needs to be asked: What happens to the Badgers when the new rankings are released following this loss?
Well, that being said, here’s a look at what the college football rankings might look like when they are released on Tuesday, via Jerry Hinnen of CBS Sports.
