Mark May picks Virginia Tech to upset No. 1 Ohio State on Monday (Video)
By Jack Crosby
Most people expect Ohio State to knock the snot out of Virginia Tech on Monday night, but Mark May is not one of those people
While the entire slate on Saturday was pretty fun, we still have one more big game to go in the opening weekend of college football. That game features the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes going on the road to Blacksburg to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies, the team that handed them their only loss last season. So, it goes without saying here that this deadly Ohio State team is out looking for revenge and most people believe they will get it.
Well, ESPN analyst Mark May is not one of those people, apparently.
Come on, now. Did you really think that we could get through an entire opening weekend without Mark May saying something to piss someone off, especially Ohio State fans?
While appearing on ‘College Football Sunday’ this morning, he was asked about his prediction for the big game on Monday night and he chose the Hokies — 27-21.
Yep, picking up right where he left off last year. Remember, May was the analyst that was appalled by the fact that Ohio State was in the College Football Playoff and thought they would get destroyed. As we know, that didn’t really happen.
Oh, and he made sure to elaborate on the pick as well.
So, if we look at history and do that math here, Ohio State should come away with this one on Monday night about 55-7.
