These Texas High School Football players took their anger towards a referee just a little too far recently
For anyone that has played the game of football at some point or another in their lives at any level, you understand that it’s easy to get angry at referees from time to time. You’re not always going to agree with the calls that they make and it may give you the urge to take a shot at them on the field like you would an opposing player.
Here’s the thing, though: You don’t actually do it! That’s not necessarily a cool thing to do and you can get in a lot of trouble for taking an action like that.
Well, these two Texas players from Jay High School in San Antonio didn’t really grasp that concept and they’re going to have to pay a price .
Jay was taking on Marble Falls recently, a close game that they ended up losing 15-9. Of course, from previous calls, frustrations were high. At one point, the frustrations boiled over so much that the two players on defense for Jay maliciously targeted the ref in a disgusting act.
Kids, if you’re reading this right now, don’t do this. Don’t even attempt to try something like this. It’s not how the game of football is played. You have a dispute with a ref, either politely ask him what happened or take the issue up with your coach.
