Braxton Miller made his first reception at wide receiver Monday evening.

Ohio State had reason to celebrate Monday evening.

Even LeBron James was in on the party. What party? Well, Braxton Miller made his first catch as an NCAA wide receiver.

Dope indeed, LeBron. Dope indeed! How dope? Ohio State’s Braxton Miller is so dope that he channeled his inner Terrelle Pryor– but a Terrelle Pryor who can actually catch– and made his first reception as a wide receiver in during his team’s season opener against Virginia Tech.

Miller’s transition to wide receiver received more buzz than most college football stories this year. An injured shoulder and two able-bodied individuals in the QB precluded Miller from being named starter, but clearly after Monday night’s reception, he proved he can be a threat at more than one position.

Earlier in the season, Urban Meyer said of Braxton Miller’s transition from quarterback to wide receiver, “I knew there would be growing pains. It’s rather comical when I heard, ‘Just play him at receiver or go put him at corner.’ It usually takes a year-and-a-half to play receiver to do it correctly. Braxton has, really the last two days been outstanding. The whole idea of his body getting used to basically a track practice every day is taking root, so he had a really good two days.”
