Braxton Miller made his first big play at wide receiver and LeBron James took notice.
Braxton Miller wasn’t included in the quarterback battle for the Ohio State Buckeyes, instead letting J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones jockey for the starting job under center. Miller instead elected to move to wide receiver and a hybrid back type of role in the Ohio State offense. That he can changed positions that quickly is a testament to his talent.
On the Buckeyes’ third drive of their season-opener, Jones threw a pass to Miller over the middle of the field. Miller laid out and made a fantastic catch for the first down and more. Everyone marveled at the former quarterback’s immediate success at receiver, including LeBron James:
The fact Braxton at WR is so dope!! Well u can play him anywhere on offense. #GoBucks

While James’ point is well taken, I’m not sure how Miller would hold up at left tackle.
LeBron, famously an Ohio native, has long been in support of the Buckeyes so it’s not necessarily surprising that he’s watching the game and showing love to OSU players. That being said, that’s high praise for Miller that must be greatly appreciated by the Buckeyes’ newest wide receiver.
Speaking to James’ point about Miller’s talent and versatility, Miller was involved on the very next play. However, he lined up at quarterback for that snap, running a sort of wildcat formation for OSU.
