Tight Ends

Greg Olsen-Carolina Panthers (5,900): My top tight end if you can afford to spend big at the position is Greg Olsen.  Olsen is the one familiar option that Cam Newton has left after Kelvin Benjamin’s season-ending injury.  He should be heavily targeted against the Jaguars on Sunday in what is a good matchup for the veteran pass-catcher.

Kyle Rudolph-Minnesota Vikings (5,300): Rudolph is another player that I’ve been high on in all my coverage leading up to kickoff of this season.  Rudolph starts the season taking on the 49ers in the late Monday Night game and should be able to offer you the final push your DraftKings team may need as he takes on the 49ers new-look defense. He’s a big body that should get some end zone attention from Teddy Bridgewater this season, and I think he could end up with his breakout year under Norv Turner a year later than many expected.

Larry Donnell-New York Giants (5,300): Another option that I like at the same price point is Giants TE Larry Donnell. Donnell had a quiet preseason, but he should be ready for a strong start to the season as he and the Giants face the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.  Donnell caught seven passes for 90 yards in one of his two meetings with Dallas last season while only catching two passes for 24 yards in their other meeting.  Since Victor Cruz looks unlikely to play, Donnell should be a big part of Eli’s passing game on Sunday especially in the red zone.
