A Texas Longhorns fan thanked Notre Dame fans for their hospitality over the weekend.
College football fans are a passionate bunch, arguably more passionate than any other fan base in the country. While that passion is a good thing that can lead to some memorable and fantastic atmospheres, it can also lead to some horrendous altercations between fans.
When the Texas Longhorns went to South Bend to play the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the visitors experienced some “remarkable hospitality” according to one fan, who wrote a letter to their hosts.

Texas Longhorns fans should know a thing or too about hospitality, a point of southern pride in the United States. Texans probably weren’t expecting that from people who live in the north, though those who reside in the midwest are equally as hospitable.
Still, the Longhorns fans deserves to be commended for taking the time out to highlight a positive experience in a world where only the negative ever seems to come to light.
Now, let’s see if that hospitality is extended or experienced during the Red River Rivalry game with Oklahoma. I don’t think we’ll see either of those fan bases writing a letter about how wonderful fans of the other school were.
