Miami Hurricanes fans really would like to see Butch Davis come back to fix the program eventually, and that was evident on Friday
The Miami Hurricanes will take on FAU Friday night to see if they can push their record to 2-0 on the season. However, despite starting off with a win last weekend, there are still some Miami supporters that want to see Al Golden on his way out and that one specific man to return to help bring this program back to glory — Butch Davis.
Friday night before the game at FAU, some Miami fans thought it would be a good idea to express their affection for Davis by flying this banner over the stadium. This right here pretty much gets their point across, that’s for sure.

Under the watch of Golden, this Miami program has not performed anywhere near the fans’ expectations. And given the history of this Miami program, we know those goals are lofty to begin with. In reality, Davis was the only recent Miami coach to make the fans happy, as he turned Miami back into a powerhouse in the late 90s and early 2000s before he departed for the Cleveland Browns.
Who knows. Another underwhelming season from Golden coming up here could result in his dismissal and maybe these Miami fans will get their wish with a return from Davis.
