It seems like every week professional athletes are finding new ways to get themselves into trouble and it is incredibly surprising. The latest is Cleveland Browns cornerback Justin Gilbert, who got into a road rage incident and crashed his car.
That isn’t necessarily the most absurd part of the classic Ford vs Dodge road rage story, Gilbert reportedly threw tobacco juice at the other car.
From News Net 5:
"The incident started in Middleburg Heights when the driver of a Mustang was allegedly chasing Gilbert in his Dodge Challenger, supposedly causing Gilbert to crash into a ditch.According to police, the crash happened when one car cut off the other. The drivers exchanged middle fingers and Gilbert reportedly threw tobacco juice on the other car."
First of all, that is absolutely disgusting. Almost as disgusting as someone carrying around a cup of tobacco juice and actually spitting in it.
Gilbert got a citation for lack of responsible control for the incident, and the recipient of the cup of tobacco juice was also issued a disorderly conduct ticket.
I think more people need to receive “lack of responsible control” tickets.
