Toledo Rockets vs. No. 18 Arkansas Razorbacks
This is the first season in quite some time in which Arkansas has begun the season as one of the top teams in the country. Coming in ranked No, 18 in the polls, the Razorbacks and head coach Bret Bielema are looking to capitalize on the extra exposure by taking down the Toledo Rockets in impressive fashion to start 2-0.
Although Bielema doesn’t exactly have a stout record overall with the Razorbacks, especially in SEC play, but he has one of the toughest teams in the nation, led by senior quarterback Brandon Allen. the third-year starter has improved each season as the starter and he looked solid in a week one win over UTEP, completing 14-of-18 passes for 308 yards and four scores.
Alex Collins will also be under the magnifying glass this season as fellow star running back Jonathan Williams went down with a shoulder injury in fall camps that will keep him out for the year.
If Toledo can limit Arkansas’ run game and allow their own all-conference back Kareem Hunt to lead the way offensively, the Rockets will hold their own. However, the Toledo defense will have a difficult time in doing so as Collins is a very impressive runner.
