The college football AP Poll for Week 3 was released and the Auburn Tigers were one of the bigger losers

Week 2 of the college football season was not supposed to be all that exciting when you looked at it on paper. However, boy were we proven wrong again and that is reflected with this week’s AP Poll.

Next: College Football's 25 Best Rivalries

To start the day, we saw one of the preseason favorites not only in the SEC struggle with FCS Jacksonville State. Auburn just did not look like the team we all thought they would be, although they were still able to survive. Even with the win, though, their prospects for the rest of the season are nowhere near what we thought they would be.

Then we saw the showdown between the Michigan State Spartans and Oregon Ducks in a top-10 match up. This game was everything that we thought it would be, with Sparty coming out with the close win. However, we learned a lot about this Oregon team, mostly positive.

Finally, one team from the Top 25 went down to end the night when the BYU Cougars took down the Boise State Broncos. It took another piece of magic from quarterback Tanner Mangum, but the Cougars got it done and now the Broncos might be out of the rankings altogether.

A short time ago, the AP Poll was released and here’s a look at what we’re headed into Week 3 with.
