With Week 2 of the college football season now in the books, what might the college football rankings look like after all the action?

Well, Week 2 of the college football season was not supposed to be all that exciting. We would come to find out that we were very, very wrong about that and that could have some implications on the college football rankings.

In what might have been the most shocking part of the day, the No. 6 Auburn Tigers played their first home game against Jacksonville State and, well, not only did they struggle for just a little bit, but they nearly lost. They needed everything in the tank to take down their FCS opponent and we might be seeing that this team is not as good as we thought they were.

Elsewhere in the Top 25 of the college football rankings, the Arkansas Razorbacks had maybe the worst outing of anyone. In the same week that Bret Bielema bashed Ohio State and the Big Ten for their scheduling, they went out today at home and were upset by the Toledo Rockets. This was definitely not the ideal situation for a team that had some SEC West aspirations coming into the season.

It was most certainly a weird day and the college football rankings may look a little different on Sunday. Here’s what we could be seeing when they’re released on Sunday via Jerry Hinnen of CBS Sports.
