The Buffalo Bills upset the Indianapolis Colts in the opening game of the season.

The Indianapolis Colts entered the season and Ralph Wilson Stadium as a trendy pick to contend for a Super Bowl this season. The Buffalo Bills apparently hadn’t caught wind of the hype surrounding the Colts or just didn’t care.

The Bills raced out to a 24-0 lead over the Colts, who finally got on the board in the final minute of the third quarter. The Colts would mount a bit of a come back, but it wasn’t enough.

  3. Karlos Williams, RB, Bills – Williams rushed six times for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Highlights

Taylor was responsible for the highlights in this game. He threw a 51-yard touchdown pass to Percy Harvin to open the scoring.

Taylor also used his legs to make plays and had a big scramble for 31-yards.

Odds

The Colts were favored by -2.5 coming into the game, according to OddsShark. That mark got destroyed by the Bills.

Next Week

Next week, the Bills welcome the New England Patriots to Ralph Wilson Stadium, a rough pair of opening games against the two teams who reached the AFC Championship Game last year.

The Colts, on the other hand, welcome the New York Jets. While the Jets looked good against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the Colts had to see this one as almost a guaranteed win before the season started. Based on how the Bills game went, they’ll be taking it a lot more seriously.
