The Baltimore Ravens lost their 2015 regular season opener on Sunday to the Denver Broncos, but that’s not all they lost. More important than one loss in a 16-game season, the Ravens learned after the game that they will be without Terrell Suggs for the remainder of the year with a torn Achilles.
Terrell Suggs tore his Achilles and is done for the year.

Suggs went down in the second half of the loss to the Broncos on Sunday and was carted off the field. From there, everyone speculated that it might be the worst case scenario for his team expected to make a Super Bowl run and it unfortunately turned out to be the worst.
Since being drafted by the Ravens in 2003, Suggs has been a staple on this defense that has wreaked havoc on the league. He’s also been pretty reliable when it comes to health. The most games that he has missed during a season is eight, which took place in 2012. Otherwise, aside from that year, he has not been off of this defense for more than three games.
Now, though, that will change as we won’t see the defensive star until he returns next year from rehabbing this gruesome injury.
