The final game of Week 1 is going to be one of the most interesting games of the weekends thanks to the fact that it packs so many questions on both sides of the field. On the one hand, the Vikings are going to see if Teddy Bridgewater has what it takes to continue to grow out of his impressive rookie season last year and become the quarterback that he needs to be in Minnesota.
He showed a lot of that flash last year, but this is going to be a crucial season of growth for the former Louisville quarterback and that all starts tonight against a Niners team reeling from offseason losses.
It has been a swift fall for the 49ers after making the Super Bowl just a few years ago, as the Harbaugh era is over, veterans like Justin Smith and Patrick Willis have retired and Aldon Smith is now across the bay in Oakland. This opening game is going to be incredibly important to seeing whether or not the 49ers are going to emerge from the ashes of this offseason or if this year is going to be a wash as they cleanse themselves for a rebirth in 2016.
The game will be aired regionally on ESPN. Chris Berman and Trent Dilfer will be on the call during the broadcast.
Here is a snapshot of all the information you need to watch the Week 1 matchup on television or online.
