When the Florida Gators take the field on Saturday against the Kentucky Wildcats, Will Grier will be the man leading the charge on offense

Two weeks into the 2015 college football season, the Florida Gators are off to a 2-0 start under Jim McElwain. However, despite that, there really is nothing set when it comes to the quarterback position. In Week 1 against New Mexico State, Treon Harris was the starter. Last weekend when Florida took on East Carolina, Will Grier took the reins. This has led many to wonder who the starter will be on Saturday when Florida opens up their SEC slate against Kentucky.

Well, we have our answer, and it will be the same guy as last weekend.

Florida announced on Thursday that Grier will once again be the starting quarterback when the Gators take on Kentucky.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Harris won’t see some time on the field as well. For the third week in a row, both Florida signal callers will see some work in the game.

However, it does say a bit about how McElwain views Grier that he’s letting him start the SEC opener. The first two weeks of the season, the Gators played out-of-conference games in which they could afford to play around with the position. But with Kentucky, things had to get a little more serious, and apparently that warrants Grier being the starter.

So far this season, both have played rather well, so you can also see where the decision isn’t really all that easy. Grier has thrown for 317 yards and four touchdowns, while Harris has tossed for 269 yards and two touchdowns. Both are just over 50 yards rushing through two games, too.
