Boise State quarterback Ryan Finley left the game on Friday night against Idaho State with what appears to be an ankle injury
After losing a heartbreaker last weekend to the BYU Cougars, the Boise State Broncos are back at home on Friday night as they take on Idaho State. However, disaster may have struck for the Boise State offense early on in this one.
In the first quarter as the Broncos jumped out to a 14-0 lead, quarterback Ryan Finley went down with what appears to have been an ankle injury. He was helped off the field and was taken to the locker room for an MRI.

After the loss last week to BYU, which may have put the team’s New Year’s Six hopes in some jeopardy down the road, losing Finley would be another unwanted blemish to their season. At this time, not much is known about the injury expect that he had his ankle rolled up on.
Through two games this season, Finley has really not been all that effective, however. Through two games the Boise quarterback has thrown for 426 yards and a touchdown, but he’s struggled with turnovers thus far, tossing four interceptions.
As more information becomes available about Finley’s injury, we will be sure to keep you updated.
