The Green Bay Packers are aiming for a 2-0 start on Sunday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks. Green Bay was able to get by the Chicago Bears in Week 1, with Aaron Rodgers completing all but five passes while tossing three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Seattle is hoping to avoid an 0-2 mark after losing 34-31 in overtime to the St. Louis Rams.

Despite the differing results last Sunday, Vegas believes that the Packers are a slightly better team, favoring Green Bay by 3.5 points over the two-time defending NFC champions. The over/under has been placed at 49, according to BOVADA.

This is a little surprising. The home team always gets three points to start on the line, and then the Vegas line is adjusted based on who it believes is superior. From there, the line moves depending on how people bet. Vegas is saying that the Packers are only a half-point better on a neutral field, and without Kam Chancellor, the divide seems wider.

Chancellor has been holding out all year, demanding that general manager John Schneider redo his contract. Schneider has understandably balked, pointing out that Chancellor still has this year and two more on his current contract at $5 million per season.

As for betting trends, we see a good bet on the OVER, per OddsShark. In Seattle’s last six games, the total has surprisingly gone OVER despite the Seahawks’ staunch defense. The Packers have seen the OVER in 16 of their last 23 contests, something to be expected by Aaron Rodgers and his band of weapons.

Both have been exceptional against the spread in this situations. At Lambeau Field, the Packers are 6-2 ATS over their previous at games. Seattle has been every bit as tough away from home ATS, notching a 15-7 mark in its last 22 affairs.
