The Buffalo Bills almost beat the New England Patriots and Rex Ryan is taking the loss personally.
When the Buffalo Bills came into Sunday’s game against the Patriots, they knew they had a chance to win the game thanks to the fact that rex Ryan always plays New England hard. This showdown on Sunday was no exception to this rule, as the Bills erased a huge deficit and nearly came back to beat the Patriots late in the game.
That’s not something that Rex Ryan is looking at positively though. The Bills head coach loathes everything about the Patriots and Bill Belichick and he has no love in his heart for any outcome that doesn’t involve him winning. Not only did the Bills lose on Sunday, but Ryan’s defense was gashed by Tom Brady and the Patriots for over 500 yards in total.
After the Patriots hung over 500 yards of offense on the Bills, Rex mentioned that not only was it his fault that the team lost but he took the running up of the offensive stats personally.
"“I’m taking it personal … What did they pass for, 500 yards?” Ryan said."
This is a classic Rex Ryan response and it’s another reason why we all love him so much. He’s not a head coach that will mince his words and it’s not a situation where he’s going to take aa moral victory. Those don’t exist to Rex Ryan and this is the response that we all expected to hear from a man who is never going to take a loss as a positive — especially a loss to the Patriots.
